architectural and panoramic views, maps, and depictions of social customs and of the costumes and
paraphernalia of the Ottoman court and military establishment. Istanbul: Capital of Empires, is truly a
collector's item intended for the bibliophile. 200 pages measuring 48 by 33,5 cms, it is offered in two
different specially bound versions. One is a very limited edition exquisitely bound in embossed leather
and presented in a slipcase covered in an Ottoman-style velvet woven in Venice. The other, is bound in
suedel, a velvet-like material.
