Review: This book, originally published on the occasion of an international carpet exhibition that
took place in Istanbul in 1997 at the city's world-renown Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, brings
together a stunning array of 163 rare carpets that were selected from the museum's legendary collection
and presented here for the first time in images of hitherto unachieved quality. In its review of the
book, the internationally-respected magazine Hali called it "The ultimate Turkish carpet book... {with}
superb images of the best of Turkish carpet art". 260 pages (224 color plates), 26 by 36.5 cms. Hard
bound in cloth, and presented in a slipcase.
